Heroin Assisted Treatment in Practice: Problems and How to Cope with them

The format of this workshop will be a short introduction, followed by an interactive debate with the audience. The session will deal with a range of issues which are specific for heroin assisted treatment (HAT): who should receive it, who should not? What are the safety measures to be taken? How can co-operation with other treatment approaches and with police forces look like? What is the place of HAT in a comprehensive treatment and support system for heroin addicts? How can the ethical concerns be dealt with?
